Hey! who's throwing dynamite?!!!
We are kind of in a holding pattern in Arequipa right now as we had planned to go to Bolivia but most of the country is shut down and all the roads are blockaded with huge stones, burned out cars, and dynamite-throwing campesinos. Oh well, I guess Bolivia is out of the question at this point. Gotta love the image of dynamite-throwing campesinos, tho! Good times.

So what are you going to do now?
The Bolivian president just gave his letter of resignation last night and the news has no promise of rest in Bolivia for a while. We´ll head down into Chile to San Pedro de Atacama and check out Salar de Uyuni from there.
Alright, that's it! I want you two on the next plane home.
Now that's the South America I'm talking about. Hope you two are careful and use long fuses on your dynamite!
For a second there I thought I was reading a note from John...watch out for animals because they booby trap cute little puppy dogs too, and probably some of those royal rats
