Look-out Point, Ko Phi Phi
This island was hit hard by the tsunami of 12/26/05 and washed from the right side of the isthmus to the left side. Most of the structures and a lot of the coconut palms were taken with the wave out to sea. Phi Phi has rebuilt nearly to the pre-tsunami over abundance of pancake stands, beach shacks, and junk-jewelery huts and bars.
We were here for the Songkran festival, Thai New Year's, that is celebrated with water fights, squirt guns, buckets of ice water. In the 100+ degree temperatures it was quite refreshing.
